   National Alumni Association Scholarship

The ASU National Alumni Association Scholarship fund acknowledges the many alumni who have served and contributed to the progressive education of minority youth. The fund is designated for students currently attending Albany State University. The fund provides a student with assistance for college expenses in the amount of $1,000 per year.   Assistance is limited to full-time students attending Albany State University with a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.  Funds shall be awarded annually (Fall Semester). Students must submit an application, along with an essay of at least 500 words. Two (2) written statements from the student's advisor and/or any other qualified individual attesting to the student's character and qualifications. Marie H. Dixon Scholarship

DixonScholarship Recipient. award is made to one eligible student who is either enrolled at Albany State University or intends to enroll at the institution. Students must submit an application, along with an essay, two (2) letters of recommendation and a college or high school transcript. The recipient must have a minimum 2.5 grade point average, exhibit outstanding leadership abilities through specific activities and events and demonstrate a financial need.

Pre-Alumni Scholarship

Meet Nickala Kendrick2013 Pre-AlumniScholarship RecipientThe Pre-Alumni Scholarship is presented by the ASU National Alumni Association. This award is made to one eligible student who is enrolled at Albany State University and is a member of the Pre-Alumni Council.The ASU National Alumni Association grants one $1,000 scholarship annually (Fall Semester).The recipient must have a minimum 3.0 grade point average, and exhibit outstanding leadership abilities through involvement in specific activities and events. An official transcript of college grades must be submitted.

Deadline for Application: January 31st of each year.

 Tampa Bay Alumni Chapter Scholarship

The Tampa Bay Alumni Chapter Scholarship is presented by the Tampa Bay Alumni Chapter and the ASU National Alumni Association. This award is made to one eligible male student who is enrolled at Albany State University and is an Elementary Education major. The ASU National Alumni Association grants one $1,000 scholarship annually (Fall Semester).The recipient must have a minimum 3.0 grade point average and exhibit outstanding leadership abilities through

involvement in specific activities and events. An official transcript of college grades must be submitted.

 Sylvester-Worth County Alumni Chapter Scholarship

Meet Brandi Johnson2013 ScholarshipRecipientThe Sylvester-Worth County Alumni Chapter Scholarship is presented by the Sylvester-Worth Alumni Chapter and the ASU National Alumni Association. The Sylvester-Worth Alumni Chapter Scholarship Fund is designated for students currently attending Worth County High School and who will be attending Albany State University in the Fall Semester. The scholarship will provide a deserving student with financial assistance for college expenses in the amount of $1,000 per year. Assistance is limited to a student attending Albany State University, full-time, with a high school grade point average of 2.5 or higher. The funds will be distributed in two equal payments of $500.00. The first disbursement will be awarded at the beginning of the fall semester and the second at the beginning of the spring semester. Students must submit an application, along with an essay of at least 500 words. ESSAY TOPIC: Why am I a good candidate for this scholarship? An official transcript of high school grades must be submitted.

 DeKalb County Alumni Chapter High School Senior Scholarship

Meet Michael Roper2013Scholarship RecipientThe ASU DeKalb County Area Alumni Chapter awards scholarships to DeKalb County and Metro Atlanta high school students who will attend Albany State University. DCAAA grants one $1,000.00 scholarship annually based on merit and need. The purpose is to provide an opportunity for qualifying and deserving students to pursue their College education at ASU. The DCAAA Chapter is a non-profit organization. It has served DeKalb County and the Metro Atlanta area for over 30 years. Go to www.asuramsdekalb.com to download a copy of the application.  Ruby Dean Hall Crews Scholarship

The Ruby Dean Hall Crews Scholarship is named for a distinguished member of National and the DeKalb County Area Alumni Association. She is a consistent supporter of Albany State and its' auxiliaries. The Chapter recognizes Ruby for years of tireless work for ASU by honoring her with this scholarship in her name. Ruby Dean Hall Crews is a 1958 graduate of Albany State. The ASU DeKalb County awards scholarships to DeKalb County and Metro Atlanta high school students who will attend ASU These scholarships are non-renewable and start at $500.00-1000.00 based on merit and need.
